SCP-005 is to be kept in a Standard Anomalous Object Handling box inside of the Loading Bay Section at Paragon Research Facility. 


Routine Checkups will occur by combative personnel to ensure SCP-005 is properly seated inside of the handling box.

SCP-005 is only to be used while testing, other uses of SCP-005 is to be approved by the incumbent Research Director and the incumbent Scientific Department Overseer.

Description

SCP-005 has been described as a golden-colored traditional key, with similarities to those dated back to the early twentieth century. SCP-005 has been noted to possess the capability to open numerous doors/gates whose security mechanism consists of either a keyhole, button, or keycard reader. At Site-40, Paragon Research Facility Installation, SCP-005 can open a majority of doors, gates, etc. however there are some limitations to what the SCP can unlock.

11/14/198█: D-24233 using SCP-005 to escape the Loading Bay just before being terminated moments later by a military police constable being sent to clear the Loading Bay.

12/28/198█: D-14262 being seen using SCP-005 to operate Transfer Gate #1.

In the event of a test utilizing SCP-005, someone that holds the clearance of the door, being attempted on, must be present during the event.
