Can I spectate tests performed by members of the Scientific Department?

Security Class 0 may spectate tests in the Cleanrooms.
Security Class 1 may spectate tests in the Medium Containment Zone and Heavy Containment Zone
Security Class 2 may spectate tests anywhere and has priority over SC-0 and SC-1

Security Class 3 may spectate tests anywhere and has priority over SC-0, SC-1, and SC-2
Security Class 4 may spectate tests anywhere and does not count as a spectator


How many spectators can a test have?
There is no limit to how many spectators a test can have. However, it is advised to still keep a limit of a few spectators to avoid overcrowding the VA.

Spectators are defined as all Personnel Ranking Security Class-0, 1, 2, 3.

Group Tests hosted by the Scientific Department are exempt from this rule.


Can Scientific Department Students spectate tests?
Yes.


How do I join the Scientific Department?
You can send an application to the Paragon Application Center.


Does the Scientific Department have a quota?
No, the Scientific Department does not have a quota. However, our command members are held to a higher standard.


Do I need permission to host a test?
No, as long as it follows the Code of Ethics, Guidelines, and your current ranking permits testing on desired SCPs.


How do I rank up within the Scientific Department?
You must meet the promotion requirements found in the ScD Guidelines.


If my Class-D dies by accident, is the test canceled?
No, the Combative Personnel escorting the test may grab another Class-D and resume from where you left off.


How often do tests get graded?
Tests are graded at the Lead researcher's convenience. We try to ensure we get tests read within 36 hours of being submitted.


Does the Scientific Department have a subdivision?
Yes, the Specialized Research Team was recently recommissioned. Expect base SRT personnel interest forms to be released soon after we settle in our Command team.


Who may use the hazmat suits?
Research Intern+ may utilize the hazmat suit during a Containment Breach, handling a biohazardous chemical, or while conducting a test with a biohazardous anomaly.
