SCP-2398 is to be kept in CR-02, designated #2398, inside the Clean Rooms at Paragon Research Institute. ScD personnel are to refrain from utilizing SCP-2398, with the exception of SRT. During testing, only should Class-D personnel use SCP-2398 for the experiment. After the experiment concluded the Class-D would be instructed to return SCP-2398 or terminated if any resistance is shown.
⚠ Any contact with SCP-2398 will result in sudden combustion if struck by it. If any Class-D or personnel are to wield SCP-2398 are to be reported to on-site combatives.
DESCRIPTION
SCP-2398 resembles a standard wooden baseball bat with a taped grip and "KO" engraved into the wood. SCP-2398 does not display any anomalous effects to its wielder/user, or when not currently being utilized, but anomalous effects start to arise when used on another subject.
When a subject is struck at a high speed by SCP-2398, the object will produce a loud and deadly explosion, causing the subject/victim to combust violently on the spot upon impact. Those with armor (such as the Juggernaut armor) will instantly be downed instead of killed.
The wielder of SCP-2398 will not be harmed by it.
