⚠ Termination attempts on SCP-662-1 do not require approval from the Research or Acting Director. SCP-662-1 can be terminated with the Ethics Committee's approval.
⚠ Termination attempts on the bell itself still require approval.
SCP-662 is a silver bell with various engravings imprinted on it. The bell has a similar appearance to a butler bell, which was commonly used in the 18th and 19th centuries. Upon closer inspection, the bell appears to also have the Paragon Research Institute logo engraved into it.
Upon an individual ringing the bell SCP-662-1, known as "Mr. Deeds," appears out of line of sight in the proximity of the bell holder. This can be around a corner, in adjacent rooms, or in dark locations. Mr. Deeds then makes his way to the individual who rang the bell and will inquire about any service they may need. Mr. Deeds is capable of fulfilling a multitude of requests, ranging from providing simple objects to firearms or completing tasks he is given. These can range from delivering messages to the assassination of other individuals.
SCP-662-1, or "Mr. Deeds," resembles a butler from the 18th century and is usually dressed in a fine tuxedo. Depending on his task, he has been observed wearing different clothing, for example, a chef's uniform and a suit.
Lastly, Mr. Deeds has shown the ability to teleport, leaving behind black smoke in the process. Furthermore, Mr. Deeds is considered immortal, as he will vanish if he is lethally injured or dies, reappearing in perfect condition shortly after. Mr. Deeds has described his state and form of immortality as cursed by the bell.
SCP-662 used to live in a place called Westminster. The family he served was a family who was extremely wealthy and had many mansions as residences. SCP-662 only knew two butlers; however, they have had more in the other residences.
The reason SCP-662 is able to summon so many items is because he has stored items from the households, including the bell.
Mr. Deeds mentions his birthday is never to happen again, and doesn't recall due to the curse of the bell.
SCP-662-1 confirms that he met SCP-527 before in several other facilities, but only recalls one facility name being the Biological Holding Floor 4.
