SCP-268 is to be kept in a Standard Anomalous Object Handling box inside of the Item Containment at Paragon Research Institute. Routine Checkups will occur by combative personnel to ensure SCP-268 is properly seated inside of the handling box.
⚠ SCP-268 has became a high priority target by Class-D personnel in the scenario that they escape from the Class-D Containment Zone. It is vital that routine checkups happen consistently.
⚠ In the event of a containment breach of SCP-268, combative personnel should use pepper spray or night sticks to effectively neutralize SCP-268's effects. Individuals affected by SCP-268 cannot harm anyone.
DESCRIPTION
SCP-268 resembles a New Boys cap, similar to the caps worn in the 1920s by newspaper boys. The subject's anomalous effects do not manifest until worn by an individual.
When worn, SCP-268 will make the individual fully invisible to the naked eye. No physical harm or other effects besides invisibility have been recorded. The individual can become semi-translucent by performing an action, such as talking or attempting to pick up items.
The invisibility effect wears off after around 40 seconds; the 'recharge' depends on how long the individual had worn it for.
