SCP-1068 is to be kept in a Standard Anomalous Object Handling box inside of the Item Containment at Paragon Research Institute. Routine Checkups will occur by combative personnel to ensure SCP-1068 is properly seated inside of the handling box.

SCP-1068 is only to be used while testing. Other uses of SCP-1068 must be approved by the Ethics Committee or Scientific High Command.

DESCRIPTION

SCP-1068 is a small, anomalous looking rocket, capable of emitting a non-lethal electromagnetic pulse (EMP) that disables all electronic devices within a 100-stub radius (~225 meters). Upon activation, typically by being thrown, SCP-1068 instantly causes a total blackout, shutting down lights, screens, terminals, radios, and even certain anomalous entities, such as SCP-2561.

The blackout effect lasts exactly 2 minutes and remains static: any device entering the affected area during this period will also be deactivated. Simple tools like flashlights can be turned back on after the effect ends, while more powerful spotlights may remain disabled. Chemical lights and anomalous sources such as SCP-1200-15 are not affected by SCP-1068.
