SCP-131 is to be kept in a custom chamber inside the Light Containment Zone at Paragon Research Institute. There are no special safety procedures when it comes to SCP-131; the entities are freely allowed to roam as long as they do not attempt to leave the facility.
⚠ Bright lights, gas, and pepper spray are not to be used directly at an instance's eye. Pepper spray, smoke, and other gasses may be sprayed or thrown at in the general direction of the subjects to scare it away from undesired locations.
SCP-131, also known as "Eyepods", are a group of teardrop-shaped creatures with a single eye in the middle of their bodies. All SCP-131 instances come in a variety of colors with its own characteristics.
The instances' intelligence range from proficiently understanding English to having the behavior of a wild animal. All SCP-131 instances are capable of using a light originating from their eye, using it as communication between one another.
SCP-131 subjects are capable of using their body to communicate to personnel via nods, shakes, etc. (if the instance is capable of understanding English).
SCP-131 instances have a "striped" variant that acts similarly to their counterpart. Differences in their personality from their counterparts have not been observed so far.

SCP-131 came from space, looking to leave their world because of a corrupt leader and discrimination. The instances claimed their world as mountainous and that other Eyepods do exist, mostly from where they came from.
SCP-131 instances do not have a gender and aren't required to eat compared to humans. The Eyepod group has their own language, using their lights to communicate with each other. SCP-131 cannot create other Eyepods on Earth.
SCP-131-R, also known as "Red," is considered the second-in-command to Orange. Considering the instance's position in the hierarchy, SCP-131-R is able to understand English, communicating with nods and jumps.
Not much is known about SCP-131-R's personality; however, the subject is compliant in answering questions. SCP-131-R cannot speak in morse code.
SCP-131-B, also known as "Blue," is one of the several instances among the Eyepod group. Not much is known about SCP-131-B's role in the group; however, the instance's intelligence is lower compared to the others.
Not much is known about SCP-131-B's personality; however, the instance cannot understand English nor speak in morse code. A translator would be needed to ask questions.
SCP-131-O, also known as "Orange," is considered the leader of the Eyepods. The instance's intelligence is highly above most of the other instances, understanding more complex questions and instructions. Additionally, SCP-131-O is proficient in understanding English, communicating with nods and jumps.
SCP-131-O's personality is on the friendlier side, taking a liking to other personnel and cooperative with tests and questions. SCP-131-O can speak in morse code.
SCP-131-W, also known as "White," is considered one of the translators of the Eyepod group. SCP-131-W's intelligence is above most of the other instances, understanding more complex questions and instructions. Additionally, SCP-131-W is proficient in understanding English, communicating with nods and jumps.

SCP-131-PPL, also known as "Purple," is considered the outcast of the Eyepods. Desite the instance's role, SCP-131-PPL's intelligence is highly above most of the other instances. Additionally, SCP-131-PPL is proficient in understanding English.
SCP-131-PPL has a jokester and rebellious personality, liking to cause problems around the site. Due to its personality, asking questions or giving orders is often difficult. SCP-131-PPL can speak in morse code.
NOTE: It is best to be patient with SCP-131-PPL when giving orders or asking questions. Eventually, the instance will comply if given a reward.
⚠ It is mandated that personnel do not bring SCP-131-PPL into contact with SCP-049.
Additionally, cross-testing SCP-131-PPL and SCP-049 requires approval from Eta-9 Command.
SCP-131-P, also known as "Pink," is considered the child of the Eyepods. SCP-131-P's intelligence is lower compared to the rest of the Eyepod group.
SCP-131-P has a childlike personality, friendly and playful with others. SCP-131-P is compliant; however, the instance cannot understand English nor speak in morse code. A translator would be needed to ask questions.
SCP-131-CYN, also known as "Cyan," is considered the medic of the Eyepods. SCP-131-CYN's intelligence is above most of the other instances, understanding more complex questions and instructions. Additionally, SCP-131-CYN is proficient in understanding English, seeming to prefer to communicate in morse code.
SCP-131-CYN's personality is on the friendlier side, taking a liking to other personnel and cooperative with medical staff and duties. SCP-131-CYN can speak in morse code.
SCP-131-BLK, also known as "Black," is an abnormal instance, having a completely different appearance than the rest, and only appearing when a member of the O5 Council is present. Unlike other instances, SCP-131-BLK has an unconfirmed number of copies, but it is presumed that there are at least one instance per Councilor.
SCP-131-BLK does not react to any form of stimuli except the movement of the Councilor it is following. SCP-131-BLK remains at the Councilor's side at all times, only disappearing in a puff of smoke when needed. Additionally, the instance does not communicate in any way.
SCP-131-BLK is invisible to the anomalies' eyes, but not to the human eye. Other anomalies are not able to see the instance even when a Councilor is present.
⚠ SCP-131-BLK is not meant as a proper SCP-131 instance; it cannot be requested unless an O5 approves.
SCP-131-GRY, also known as "Gray," is considered the engineer of the Eyepod group. Due to its role, SCP-131-GRY's intelligence is higher compared to the rest of the group. Additionally, the subject is able to understand English.
SCP-131-GRY has a shy personality, often refusing to answer questions about itself. SCP-131-GRY can speak in morse code.
SCP-131-B-S, also known as "Blue Striped," is the striped counterpart to Blue. Not much is known about SCP-131-B-S's role in the group; however the instance's intelligence is the lowest among the Eyepods.
Not much is known about SCP-131-B-S's personality due to its behavior. SCP-131-B-S does not react to any personnel, light, or noise, constantly bumping into walls and other obstacles. This behavior may be due to one of the following reasons:
SCP-131-B-S is a dead SCP-131 instance. Instead of stopping all of its functions (similar to life forms we’re familiar with), SCP-131-B-S continues to move with no thinking;
SCP-131-B-S is blind and deaf;
SCP-131-B-S level of intelligence is extremely low;
SCP-131-B-S avoids speaking to humans, and anything that is not an SCP-131 instance in general for specific reasons; or
SCP-131-B-S is a juvenile instance and is still learning proper movement.
Asking the subject questions is near impossible; asking another SCP-131 instance about SCP-131-B-S is more preferable.
SCP-131-G-S, also known as "Green Striped," is the striped counterpart to Green. SCP-131-G-S's role among the Eyepods is the observer.
Not much is known about SCP-131-G-S's personality; however, compared to its counterpart, Green Striped has a higher intelligence, proficient in understanding English and speaking in morse code.
SCP-131-W-S, also known as "White Striped," is the striped counterpart to White. SCP-131-W-S's role among the Eyepod group is being one of the translators.
As SCP-131-W's counterpart, this instance also has a high intelligence, proficient in understanding English and responding to complex conversations. SCP-131-W-S can communicate with morse code.
SCP-131-O-S, also known as "Orange Striped," is the striped counterpart to Orange. SCP-131-O-S's role among the Eyepods is the scientist.
As SCP-131-O's counterpart, this instance also has a high intelligence, proficient in understanding English and responding to complex conversations. SCP-131-O-S can communicate via morse code using its light.
SCP-131-R-S, also known as "Red Striped," is the striped counterpart to Red. It is unknown on what SCP-131-R-S's role is among the Eyepod group.
Despite being SCP-131-R's counterpart, SCP-131-R-S has a higher intelligence, capable of understanding English and speaking in morse code. However, not much is known about SCP-131-R-S's personality overall.
Addendum 131-1: During the discovery of new chemicals, researchers found that SCP-131 instances are able to collect their tears. Should a researcher require "Eyepod Tears," they must politely ask; forceful gathering is not a permissible interaction.
Addendum 131-2: During a test that took place on 4|18|19██, SCP-131-CYN "Cyan" confirmed that there is a chain of command among the instances: SCP-131-O "Orange" -> SCP-131-R "Red" -> All other SCP-131 instances -> SCP-131-P "Purple"
Addendum 131-3: Based on a research project, it was discovered that several SCP-131 instances besides SCP-131-O "Orange" and SCP-131-O-S "Orange Striped" are capable of communicating in morse code. Additionally, some instances act as translators for subjects that do not understand English.
