SCP-035 // "Possessive Mask"
SCP-035 // "Possessive Mask"
SCP-035 is to be kept in a specially designed Anomalous Object Handling box located on a pedestal inside its containment chamber. Routine Checkups will be conducted by combative personnel to ensure SCP-035 is properly seated inside the pedestal.
SCP-035 is only to be used during testing. Other uses of SCP-035 must be approved by the Ethics Committee or Scientific High Command.
⚠ SCP-035 may not be cross-tested with any sentient SCPs without Eta-9 Command's approval.
⚠ Cross-tests that involve SCP-035 and SCP-049 require approval from Eta-9 Central Command.
SCP-035 is a white porcelain comedy mask. When placed on the face of an individual, SCP-035 may exhibit different effects on the individual and its surroundings.
Once the mask is placed on a subject, it has been observed that SCP-035 will take over the body as a host. While the object has control over the body, it likes to take the name of "Trajan." Most notably, SCP-035 uses a black goo-like substance to form spikes and tendrils used as weapons.
SCP-035 has a manipulative personality, using its charisma to get what it wants. Additionally, the subject is authoritative and egotistical, wanting others to bow before it. The subject has a picky preference towards host, willingly killing itself if the host is not to its standards.
SCP-035 appears to dislike not having hosts, describing its time without a host as being quite literally trapped in a box unable to do anything with a negative connotation. SCP-035 is reluctant to recall times in the past where it had no host for a prolonged period of time and has a preference for healthy unaffected hosts that will as a result last longer. With that, bodies under its control will decay overtime.
During a cross-test with SCP-035 and SCP-049, Trajan was capable of breaking free from a Class-D affected by SCP-049's cure. This caused the purplish electricity-like effect to cease. This could be due to 035's corrosive liquid. However, Trajan shortly decomposed due to his being picky when it comes to having hosts.
SCP-035 cannot burn via SCP-457. Likewise, this means any cross testing between SCP-035 and SCP-457 can occur, as well as any termination attempts remaining improbable. SCP-035 attempted to tame SCP-457; however, was ignored.
SCP-035 is seemingly addicted to SCP-207 and can be bribed to answer questions with SCP-207. The reasoning behind this is currently unknown.
