Chemical Regulations

The following regulations must be followed at all times when utilizing chemicals.

All Chems

Harmful Chems

Chemical Equipment

The following is a list of all current Chemical Equipment located within the Lab.

Chemical Cabinet

This will store any chemical placed in it for the duration of the server. Chemicals can be packaged into spray bottles here.

Mixer

This is used to mix 2 or more chemicals together. Place both in, activate the mixer, and wait.

Centrifuge

The centrifuge can separate the makings of a chemical. Place up to 4 chemicals inside it, activate the centrifuge, and wait.

Heater

The heater can heat 1 chemical at a time. Place the chemical on it, activate the heater, and wait.

Liquid Nitrogen Canister

This canister can freeze 1 chemical at a time. Place the chemical in it, activate the canister, and wait.

Test Tube Rack

This rack holds empty test tubes. An individual person may hold up to three test tubes at once.

PUBLIC CHEMICAL DATABASE

The public chemical database is for everyone to use and edit. The database is used to store all chemical experimentation attempted by our department. You can see which chemical experimentation resulted in sludge and which resulted in an artificial chemical.

Base Chemicals

Base chemicals are chemicals that can be naturally found, through anomalies or exploration. The following list is a list of all known base chemicals.

Natural Chemicals

Flower Petals

Plucked straight off a flower.

This chemical will make someone bleed upon sprayed.

Sludge

Your reward for messing up somewhere.

Retrieve by burning, freezing, spinning, or mixing chemical(s) together that do not end in an artificial chemical. This chemical is basically the result of any chemical experiments that don't produce an artificial chemical.

This chemical is able to infect someone with SCP-008.

Holy Water

A chemical that was blessed by the almighty SCP-343.

Retrieved by asking SCP-343 to turn any chemical in a Test Tube to Holy Water. Sludge is to be used first for Holy Water before any other chemical.

Discovered by TheOminousEntity0.

This chemical can be bottled up and used to temporarily banish SCP-131-GRY or destroy SCP-131-GRY's control on other SCPs.

Quasisentient Ash

The ash found in SCP-457's Containment Chamber.

Retrieved by going inside of SCP-457's containment chamber and collecting the Ash on the ground using a Test Tube.

Discovered by jdkg1, Benjiboy90904, & adekraged21122.

Discovered by luigifannnn.

This chemical has no effect.

A huge thanks to Dr. Ili and Prof. Honey for this list and guide.

Artificial Chemicals

Artificial chemicals are chemicals that cannot be naturally found, but must instead be created via the equipment located within the Clean Rooms Laborartory. The following is a list of all known Artificial Chemicals.

Chemical Discoveries Grading

Chemical Discoveries are whenever a researcher is the first one to obtain a specific chemical. Chemical Discoveries can be submitted in #discovery-submission, if the submission is valid and the found chemical is truly the first of its kind, then the pioneering researchers/s will be cited in the item description of that specific chemical.

Chemical Discoveries also grant different amounts of points depending on the number of ingredients and the highest number of steps to get to the end product starting from one specific ingredient.

The graders of these discoveries will give points based on the following:

Here is an example of a made-up chemical XYZ.

The process of obtaining chemical XYZ is:

Let's assume that Chemical XYZ is a legitimate discovery, this will yield to the submitter already at least 10 RP.

By counting the steps from each starting chemical we find that:

The highest amount of steps come by starting from "Chemical X", so this will yield to the submitter an additional:
(3-1)*5 = 10 RP

"Chemical XYZ" starts from 3 base ingredients so this will yield an additional:
(3-1)*5 = 10 RP

So, to the submitter of the discovery, so in total the pioneer of "Chemical XYZ" will receive a total of 30 RP
