Section III > Resignation Act

If you resign or are removed from the department, your past actions will not be considered for future promotional requirements or any other systems that rely on personal acomplishments in case you decide to return to the department. Additionally, if your name is mentioned on the Science Hub, either on a specific SCP page or on the Notable Discoveries page, your name will not be removed from the Science Hub, unless you are burn noticed or you specifically request us to do so.

Section IV > Department Events & Duties

Scientific Command has developed several events to increase engagement within the Scientific Department. These events aim to achieve two objectives: to provide members of ScD with relevant information on SCPs or ScD duties, and to have fun through game nights and movie nights. Members of Scientific Command can host any of the events listed below. Mock Tests, Lectures, SCP Trailings, and Group Tests will all give 5 RP to any ScD that attend, regardless of rank.

Student Seminar

A Student Seminar is an event organized by Lead Researchers+ and attended by Research Students. Student Seminars are considered a "Recruitment Event," and previous attendees don't need to attend again. Researchers or Senior Researchers may co-host these events to enhance their knowledge and fulfill their promotional requirements. The basic Student Seminar will comprise a tour of the facility, including the Cleanrooms, followed by a brief review of the Science Guidelines and Scientific Hub. During this event, attendees are encouraged to ask any questions they may have.

Department Lecture

Lectures are events organized by Lead Researchers+ and can be attended by all Foundation personnel. The basic lecture focuses on any known anomaly, not limited to those contained at Paragon. The topics covered in this lecture include Special Containment Procedures, ACS Containment Class, and a description of an anomaly. Any SCP may be used and shown on stage for the public. Scientific Department personnel attending these events will receive five Research Points. Lectures can be announced in the main Paragon server, alongside the ScD server.

Lab Certification

Lab Certifications are to be hosted by Lead Researcher+ and can be attended by all ScD personnel. The certification will  cover all aspects of chemical research and the laboratory equipment. The host will explain how to gather samples,  the different laboratory equipment,  and how to use the equipment. Completing a lab certification is required to enter and utilise the laboratory. All Research Interns and above may attend lab certifications.

Cleanroom Certification

Cleanroom certifications are to be hosted by Lead Researcher+ and are a promotion requirements for Research Student to progress within the department. The certification will cover the basics of conducting an experiment and guide the students through the testing process. Cleanroom certifications should be attended after the Student Seminar and are a required to be attended before a Student can complete the final exam.

Group Testing

A Group Test is an event hosted by a Lead Researcher+ on the public server, where members of ScD come together to conduct a test. The host of the event is responsible for the test, and any SCP can be tested as long as it falls under the host's clearance level. Attendees of the event can propose test questions and hypotheses. While test reports are recommended, they are not mandatory. If submitted, they can earn points and a grade.

Mock Test

A Mock Test is an event hosted by a Lead Researcher+ where Class-D, combative personnel, and scientists participate in a standard test. However, instead of using actual personnel, attendees, hosts, and co-hosts fulfill the required roles. Each participant will play a specific role in "Mocking" a normal test, hence the name "Mock Test". Although test reports are recommended, they are not mandatory. You can submit them for points and a grade. Additionally, note that these Mock Tests may not involve any sentient SCPs compared to a normal test.

Chemical Gathering

Chemical Gathering is an event hosted by a Lead Researcher+ where the host will take a group of researchers to create a specific chemical. The event host will guide the attendees through every step of creating the chemical, from gathering samples, to mixing chemicals and using the laboratory equipment. The host will decide what chemical will be made during the event before the event has started. All attendees are required to have a lab certification.

SCP Talk

SCP Talks are to be hosted by a Senior Researcher or higher in Paragon's main server. SCP Talks may be attended by Class-D personnel and must have a SD escort, following a 3:1 (CD:SD) ratio. Talks should be hosted in the ScD classroom, and you must use the following format to request CDs: "I will be hosting a talk on SCP-XXX, please escort any CDs who wish to attend to the ScD Classroom". You may only have up to 5 CDs per talk. The talk will consist of a lecture on any designated anomaly contained within Paragon Research Institute. Special Containment Procedures, ACS Containment Class, and a Description of an anomaly will be covered in the talk.

SCP Trailing

SCP Trailings is, as the name implies, when someone trails an SCP. This includes following them around on-site, noting any intriguing behaviors, and ending with a small meeting of any findings in the classroom after. Notable discoveries may be sent in the discovery submissions channel.

As long as the protocol is currently Normal, ScD may trail 131 or 4966 instances. Other SCPs, such as SCP-049, may not be trailed at this time.

During breaches, ScD may trail SCPs under the following conditions:

Lore Seminar

The Lore Seminar is an event hosted by a Lead Researcher or higher, and the Lore Management team. In this event, the host delivers a lecture focused on lore, covering topics such as descriptions, brainstorming, experiences, and discoveries related to chosen lore character. It is a subset of the Scientific Department's lecture series but specifically centered on SCP lore.

Live Anomaly Training

The Live Anomaly Training is an event hosted by a Lead Researcher or higher. During this event, the host introduces the session, mentions the SCP being discussed, and emphasizes the importance of the training. The host then provides detailed information on specific SCPs, such as SCP-049, SCP-2561, or SCP-527, focusing on triggers that could lead to potentially dangerous situations. Following this, the host conducts an interview related to the SCP in question.

Section V > Awards Programme

The award The Awards program has been created as a way to recognize and award members of the department for their dedication and excellence's to the department. These awards will only be awarded to those that deserve them the most, at the end of each month High and Central Command will decide who will receive each award. Awards would be given for contributing greatly to the department and for greatly improving our understanding of an SCP.

Section VI > Team Testing

Team Testing is the same as a normal test however rather than the test being hosted by one singular individual. The test will be hosted by a collaborative effort of 2-4 researchers working together. However, certain expectations and rules must be met and followed. Team Testing is similar to a standard test, the only difference is that you work together with a group of up to 4 people to do a test report. You will work together to come up with questions and reports for grading. When you do a Team Test, you are required to write a report for grading. Once you have submitted your report, it will be graded and each member of the test will be rewarded with points.

Section VII > Researcher of the Month

Every month, one non-command member and one command member will be nominated for the title of Researcher of the Month. The selection will be based on their activity both on-site and on the ScD server. Board of Research members will be responsible for choosing the Researcher of the Month. To be eligible for this nomination, a user needs to have hosted at least five tests in the last month.

Researcher of the Month Includes:

Section VIII > Waivers

If you want to conduct an unethical test, you can do so by going to #special-test-requests and requesting an testing waiver or a misc waiver, you are required to follow all guidelines listed on the channel when requesting a waiver and conducting a test.

If you want to conduct a termination attempt on a sentient SCP, you can do so by going to the same channel, #special-test-requests and requesting a termination attempt, you will need the approval of the incumbent Research Director and the AA Director.

If you want to conduct any Mass Tests, you can do so by going to the same channel, #special-test-requests and requesting for permission, you will need the approval of a RM+. You will need to attach it with a waiver if you need the waiver to conduct  your test question.

Section IX > Tests of the Week and Month

Each week, ScD Command will look through all Advanced Tests that receive a grade of B or higher. ScD Command will vote on them, and give the winner the Test of the Week rewards. At the end of every month, ScD Command will look through the four Tests of the Week and award one of them the Test of the Month.
