The Scientific Department is a civil department engaged in anomalous research and unconventional techniques. Through the Scientific Department, Paragon Research Institute has learned of various anomalies' abilities, containment strategies, and much more. Without the Scientific Department's contributions, the Foundation could not function.

➜ 11/02/2025: Amnestics & Chemical Research Certification
With the Sanity update, the Scientific Department has the responsibility to create amnestics for the Medical Department. Along with the developmental update, the department's High Command has decided to introduce the Chemical Research Certification.

After further review of the department's suggestion forum, ScD High Command has given the department the duty to conduct SCP-173 Containment Cleanings.

After extensive brainstorming from the department's command team, we are proud to release the new promotional requirements and changes to multiple duties. All department members will earn new and unique duties each time they rank up.
