This section will cover all active regulations that Scientific personnel must adhere to when dealing with chemicals.
All chemical testing must be done within the Vacant Room located in the Cleanrooms.
If conducting a cross-test between chemicals and an SCP, you will bring the chemical to the SCP.
Chemicals may not be used on Foundation Personnel.
Scientific personnel are not permitted to administer amnestics onto individuals.
Appropriate personnel (e.g. Eta-9 and/or Military Police) must be requested for gathering chemicals in areas not accessible to the public.
This includes, but not limited to: containment zones, outside areas, etc.
When needing to collect a chemical from a sentient anomaly, you must ask for permission first.
Object SCPs, such as SCP-500, may be held by Scientific personnel for gathering samples.
Any infectious chemicals requires a minimum of one Eta-9 and the personnel administering the chemical to wear a hazmat suit.
Chemical Grenades must only be used for testing and are restricted to Junior Researcher+.
Chemical Barrels may only be placed inside the lab or in a containment chamber for testing purposes.
The department's lab contains various pieces of equipment that will help department members create chemicals, including amnestics. This section shows what each equipment piece does and how to use them.
Chemical Cabinet
This stores any chemicals that have already been placed in it. Chemicals can be packaged into spray bottles, grenades, and barrels.
Chemicals placed in the cabinet save across servers.
Mixer
This is used to mix 2 or more chemicals together. Place both of them in and active the mixer. The mixer may take up to 4 minutes.
Centrifuge
The centrifuge can separate the makings of a chemical. Place up to 4 chemicals inside it, activate the centrifuge, and wait. This may take up to 4 minutes.
Heater
The heater can heat a chemical. Place the chemical on it, activate the heater, and wait.
Liquid Nitrogen Canister
This canister can freeze up to 1 chemical at a time. Place the chemical in it, activate the canister, and wait.
Test Tube Rack
This rack holds empty test tubes. An individual may hold up to 3 test tubes at once.
Chemical Grenade
This grenade will disperse the contained chemical in and create an explosion around it. The radius roughly matches that of a Frag Grenade.
Chemical Grenades can be purchased from the Professor in the ScD Vendor for 50 credits. Package a chemical into it by going to any Chemical Cabinet.
Chemical Spray
This spray bottle will disperse the chemical contained in it into the air or on the person clicked on with it.
A purple outline will appear when you can apply the chemical to an individual.
Package a chemical into it by going to any Chemical Cabinet.
Test Tube
The empty test tubes are used to grab chemicals with. Test tubes can be grabbed from any Test Tube Rack. Individuals may hold up to 3 test tubes (empty or filled) at once.
Foundation members undergo constant strains during their duties on-site, causing damages to their mental health. As part of the Scientific Department's duties, department members are tasked with creating amnestic chemicals and treatments for the Medical Department to use. Due to the fatal consequences that come with giving the Medical Department the wrong treatment, it is vital to follow the exact recipes.
Class-A Amnestics are chemical treatments for symptoms associated with Class-A "General Retrograde."
Class-A Extra Notes
Class-A Amnestic Final Recipe
Class-A Amnestic = PH Reduced 500 + Silicarbon
To create Class-A Amnestics, you will need to first prepare PH Reduced 500 and Silicarbon, then combine them in the Chemical Mixer.
Step-by-Step Process
Create PH Reduced 500
Ingredients:
Oxidized Acid
SCP-500 Sample
Process:
Obtain Oxidized Acid from the ScD Vendor.
Acquire an SCP-500 Sample by extracting liquid from the SCP-500 bottle.
Place Oxidized Acid and SCP-500 Sample into the Chemical Mixer.
Collect the resulting chemical: PH Reduced 500.
2. Create Silicarbon
Ingredients:
Lavender Extract
Vitrifuse
Process:
Obtain Lavender Extract by placing Flower Petals into the Centrifuge.
Flower Petals can be collected from the checkpoint leading to the HoC tunnel.
Create Vitrifuse by mixing Glass and Oxidized Acid in the Chemical Mixer.
Both Glass and Oxidized Acid can be bought from the ScD Vendor.
Combine Lavender Extract and Vitrifuse in the Chemical Mixer.
Collect the resulting chemical: Silicarbon.
3. Combine to Class-A Amnestic
Final Process:
Place PH Reduced 500 and Silicarbon into the Chemical Mixer.
Collect the resulting chemical: Class-A Amnestic.
Class-B Amnestics are chemical treatments for symptoms associated with Class-B "Regressive Retrograde."
Class-B Extra Notes
Class-B Amnestic Final Recipe
Class-B Amnestic = Heat Amygdalase Destabalized
To create Class-B Amnestics, you will need to first prepare Amygdalase Destabilizer, then put it in the Heater.
Step-by-Step Process
Create Concentrated Class-A Amnestic
Ingredients:
x2 Reactive Class-A Amnestic
Process:
Prepare two Class-A Amnestic samples.
Combine both Class-A samples in the Chemical Mixer.
Collect Concentrated Class-A Amnestic.
2. Create Anxietose
Ingredients:
Lattice Amygdalase
Breakfast Slurry
Process:
Prepare Lattice Amygdalase by placing Lumenario and Grime into the Chemical Mixer.
Lumenario can be prepared from Holy Water (obtained from SCP-343) and Lumedisrupter (Replicanum + Eyepod Tears + Grime).
Grime can be collected from the residue in SCP-173's containment chamber.
Prepare Breakfast Slurry by placing Waffle Limb and Milkshake into the Chemical Mixer.
Waffle Limb can be collected from individuals affected by SCP-1208.
Milkshake can be prepared by putting Milk in the Liquid Nitrogen Canister.
Place Lattice Amygdalase and Breakfast Slurry in the Chemical Mixer.
Collect the resulting chemical: Anxietose.
3. Combine to Amygdalase Destabilizer
Process:
Place Concentrated Class-A Amnestic and Anxietose into the Chemical Mixer.
Collect the resulting chemical: Amygdalase Destabilizer.
Class-D Amnestics are chemical treatments for symptoms associated with Class-D "Progressive Retrograde."
Class-D Extra Notes
The effects for Class-D Amnestics are the following:
Blinds the individual for around 30-60 seconds;
Prevents the individual from sprinting; and
Red text:
'You can't remember what you had for breakfast.'
'You can't remember what was bothering you.'
Class-D Amnestic Final Recipe
Class-D Amnestic = Neural Sedative + Tincture of Thoughts
