DESCRIPTION
SCP-662 is a small silver hand bell measuring approximately 15 cm in height, featuring intricate historical engravings similar to those found on 18th- and 19th-century butler bells. Upon closer inspection, the logo of Paragon Research Institute is visibly etched into the base of the handle.
When SCP-662 is rung, an entity designated as SCP-662-1 (who identifies as "Mr. Deeds") will manifest outside the direct line of sight of the bell's holder. Manifestations typically occur nearby, such as around a corner, inside an adjacent room, or within an unlit area. SCP-662-1 will then approach the individual who actuated the bell and offer his services, inquiring how he may assist them.
SCP-662-1 consistently presents as an 18th-century butler, most frequently attire in a well-tailored tuxedo. However, SCP-662-1 has been observed wearing alternate attire appropriate to assigned duties, such as a chef's uniform or formal modern suits.
SCP-662-1 is capable of fulfilling a wide variety of requests. These range from simple tasks—such as procuring basic items or delivering written messages—to complex or hostile directives, including the sourcing of firearms or the assassination of designated targets.
SCP-662-1 possesses anomalous mobility, frequently utilizing short-range teleportation that leaves behind a residue of black smoke upon departure. Additionally, SCP-662-1 exhibits a form of immortality: if sustained injuries would prove fatal, SCP-662-1 instantly de-manifests and can be summoned again in pristine physical condition upon the next ringing of SCP-662. During debriefings, SCP-662-1 has described his condition as a curse bound directly to the bell.
