SCP-2398 is to be stored within a custom containment locker located in the Clean Room wing of Paragon Research Institute. Scientific Department (ScD) personnel are strictly prohibited from directly utilizing or handling SCP-2398 outside of authorized testing scenarios.
All experimental procedures involving SCP-2398 must be conducted exclusively by Class-D personnel under strict supervision. Upon the conclusion of testing, the designated Class-D subject must immediately return SCP-2398 to its containment casing. Any non-compliance or resistance demonstrated by Class-D personnel during retrieval will result in immediate termination.
Under no circumstances are personnel permitted to swing or actuate SCP-2398 in the direction of Foundation staff.
DESCRIPTION
SCP-2398 is a plain wooden baseball bat, roughly 110cm in length and made of ash with a taped grip. SCP-2398 bears no unusual markings other than the letters “K.O.” branded into the wood just above the handle.
SCP-2398 displays no anomalous properties when not in use; however, when swung at a speed over roughly 20m/s, any living organism that SCP-2398 comes in contact with at the end of a swing will violently explode. The mechanism for this is currently unknown.
