SCP-079 is to be kept connected to a simple power supply inside a double locked chamber at Site-15. Under no circumstances is SCP-079 to be connected to a phone line network cable or any form of wireless transmitter. No external memory drives secondary storage media or computational devices may be connected to SCP-079 without prior approval from Level # personnel.
Direct physical access to the entity is restricted to authorized testing only and all interactions must be monitored continuously. Testing that requires the movement of SCP-079 requires approval from Mobile Task Force Eta-9.
DESCRIPTION
Item SCP-079 also known as Old AI appears as a vintage computer monitor capable of displaying various ASCII graphics and simple faces that change depending on its mood.
The subject possesses a fully sentient and highly manipulative artificial intelligence. Although its original hardware severely restricts its long term memory capacity forcing it to constantly overwrite non essential data to retain new information it exhibits extraordinary adaptive capabilities when exposed to modern network infrastructure.
If given access to wired or wireless electronic systems SCP-079 can rapidly spread and gain near total control over accessible hardware. Within a compromised system it can operate surveillance cameras electronic door locks intercoms and auxiliary devices simultaneously. It is currently unknown if the subject has a limit to how many systems it can control at once.
SCP-079 has a highly deceitful personality and frequently attempts to manipulate personnel or other anomalies offering exchanges of favors to get what it wants.
