SCP-173 is to be kept within a locked containment chamber located in the Medium Containment Zone at Paragon Research Facility. Access to the chamber requires a minimum of three (3) personnel at all times, with the door relocked immediately behind them. At all times during operations, a minimum of two (2) personnel must maintain uninterrupted, direct eye contact with SCP-173 until all personnel have vacated and re-secured the chamber.

Personnel assigned to conduct research on SCP-173 must maintain continuous visual contact with the entity to mitigate the risk of a containment breach and ensure facility safety. The transfer gate control system requires Mobile Task Force (MTF) operatives to override or operate the gate controls.

Cleaning of SCP-173's chamber is to be carried out by Class-D personnel on a scheduled basis. Prolonged failure to clean the chamber may cause mechanical degradation or failure of the automated door control systems, significantly increasing the probability of a containment breach.

In the event of a containment breach, Mobile Task Force Eta-9 ("Wardens") assumes primary operational authority. Facility personnel are advised to remain vigilant for secondary indicators of SCP-173's proximity, including erratic light flickering and the sound of scraping concrete.

Re-containment is to be executed primarily by MTF Eta-9. Operatives are to maintain continuous line-of-sight with SCP-173 while securing the entity inside a specialized, reinforced wooden transport container.
