To become an Assistant Researcher, you must complete all three of the following. Please remember that you have thirty days (a month) complete these requirements:
Research Students have two options on how to complete this requirement:
OPTION A — INDEPENDENT TEST
Research Students can do a basic test by themselves on any SCP that they have testing access to. Please see the How to Conduct a Test page for a full step-by-step guide. Once you are done with your test, submit the test in #submissions.
OPTION B — SHADOW A GROUP TEST
For those who aren't confident yet and want help with their first test can attend a group test hosted by a Research Instructor+. Research Students do not need to run group tests by themselves. You can observe, take notes, then submit the test in #submissions.
Log one hour of total on-site activity as a Scientific Department member. Hours accumulate across all sessions, so you do not need to complete this in one sitting.
To check your current hours, run the following command in the Discord server: /activity team: Scientific Department.
Once you have finished the rest of your requirements, complete the final exam. This exam covers:
Department rules and expectations;
How to conduct a test;
What Research Students can and cannot do; and
Basic SCP knowledge relevant to low-risk testing
All answers are found in this page and the linked documents. You must score at least 13 out of 15 to pass.
A Research Instructor+ will grade your exam and inform you of the results. If you fail, you will have a cooldown of three hours. After all the above is completed, you may request the rank of Assistant Researcher in #promotion-request!
