Code of Conduct

Table of Contents

Section I > Introduction

The following document outlines the expectations that all members of ScD must comply with. These expectations apply to all members while they are on-site or on any Official ScD Discord server. Non-compliance with any of the expectations outlined in this document will result in punishment.

It is important to note that members of ScD are not allowed to use loopholes to undermine the authority of this document. Using loopholes refers to finding and taking advantage of errors within the way an expectation is written to justify the violation of the general idea of the expectation.

Section II > On-Site Expectations

Keep in mind that while on the Scientific Department team at Paragon Research Institute, you are expected to follow the on-site regulations. It is important to note that all rules mentioned in the Code of Ethics are also applicable to members of ScD. If any team member is found to be violating the CoE, they will be reported to the Ethics Committee. Please note that the punishments listed for each offense are not necessarily the exact consequences for the violation. The punishment may be more or less severe depending on the severity of the offense and the decision of the issuer.

Section III > Discord Expectations

ScD Discord expectations apply only within the ScD Discord server. The ScD Discord server is subject to the expectations and rules of the main Paragon Discord server. Any violation of these rules will be reported to the moderators, and the punishment will be the same as that which would be given in the central Paragon server.

Section IV > Command Expectations

Command expectations are applicable while on the Scientific Department team in Paragon Research Institute, and in the ScD Discord server. It is worth noting that the command team is held to a higher standard than regular ScD members and is not exempt from the Paragon Code of Ethics.

Section V > Private Server Regulations

While you are in the ScD private server, the Code of Ethics is not directly enforced by EC. As a result, we have established our own set of rules that apply to all personnel present on the server, including command personnel.

Section VI > Mock Test Regulations

During mock tests, the host can simulate a regular exam inside a private server. To ensure that the event runs smoothly and remains organized, we have established guidelines for both command and non-command members. It is important to note that all private server regulations will still apply during the mock test.

Section VII > Punishments

The following is a list of punishments that can be issued by command members. All types of punishments are logged, regardless of their severity. If a member of ScD believes that a punishment was unjust, they may send a ticket or contact the appeals team within the main Paragon Discord Server.

Breaking a rule multiple times will result in the punishment level for that rule being raised to the next level.
